NuSet Schlage Keyed Commercial Grade 2 Single Cylinder Deadbolt (Lifetime Brass)
This commercial grade 2 deadbolt is typically used on a front or back exterior door and is operated with a key from the exterior of the home and a thumb turn from the interior. Also available in satin stainless steel and oil rubbed bronze finishing.

Entry
Generally used for exterior applications. It is operated with a key from the exterior of the home and a push button or turn knob from the interior.
Privacy
Generally used on bathroom or bedroom door. It provides a push button or turn knob on the inside and comes with an emergency release on the outside that allows the door to be unlocked by inserting an emergency release tool.
Passage
Generally used on closets or other rooms that do not require locking.
Storageroom
Generally used on storage room that the outside knob is fixed and entrance by key only. The knob will lock itself everytime the door is closed and cannot be left unlocked. The inside knob always remain unlocked providing emergency exit.
Dummy
Does not operate and is often used as a door pull or for aesthetic purposes only.

Keyed alike means key coded to the same key number. This option provides "same key" convenience and eliminates the needs for multiple keys where numerious locks and access is needed.

Keyed different means that locks are keyed differently. Different set of keys are required to unlock each lock.

To determine the handing, view the door from the exterior side and locate the hinges. If the hinges are on the left, you will need a left-handed lever. If the hinges are on the right, you will need a right-handed lever.

Grade 2 & Grade 3
These are certification standards ratings developed for the U.S. that provide an easy reference to the strength, security, and durability of a lock. Lock rated as Grade 3 is not as strong as a lock rated at Grade 2. For a lock to pass Grade 3 standards it must endure 200,000 cycles of opening and closing, whereas a Grade 2 lock must pass 400,000 cycles. The lock's strength is also tested in increased severity as applied to forced entry through a door.
